Tráng khúc thơ treo đầu súng

chân còn vững nhịp Quân Hành

trăng soi hồng bia đá dựng

sao ai nói núi sông buồn

Khắp nơi vang lời hy vọng

Việt Nam Tổ Quốc Vinh Quang

Tuổi Trẻ vươn vai Phù Đổng

sao ai nói mộng xưa tàn

Từ trong màn đêm bi hận

vùng lên theo nắng Xuân về

điệu kèn giục theo trống trận

cùng đi nối mạch tình quê

Tâm thơ gởi người Bạn Trẻ

mừng mai vào lễ xuất quân

nối bước tiền nhân ngạo nghễ

lên đường bảo vệ Quê Hương

Following the predecessors

The poetic march is vigorous like muzzles

The youth’s footsteps are still steady

The moon shines on the gravestones

Why saying the country is a gloomy land?

The words of hope are raised everywhere

In praise of Glorious Fatherland -Vietnam

and her youth to grow like Phù Đổng

Why saying the youth dreams are hopeless?

In the dark of a pathetic resentment

An uprising will start under the spring sun

The fanfare will follow up the war drum

urging the youth to go succeeding the patriots

A message for my young friends

who go into battle tomorrow

following the predecessors’ footsteps

setting off to defend our Homeland
