Men Chiều Cali 

Vẽ cả trong tranh khung trời lộng gió
Vẽ cả men tình một độ lên ngôi
Nâng niu ta vẽ cành hoa Nhân Ái
Những đóa hoa cười nở mãi trên môi 

Nắn nót tình Thơ khung trời lộng gió 
Mười ngón tay hoa vướng nhạc bổng trầm
Cạn chén đầy-vơi nồng men tri kỷ
Dù một lần sao bỗng hóa trăm năm 

Ta về đây ướp lạnh miền Đông Bắc
Nhớ Cali từng giọt nắng hanh vàng
E ấp hành trang men chiều kỷ niệm
Phong kín gửi Người nỗi nhớ chứa chan 

Vẽ người thương, giữa khung trời lộng gió
Vẽ mình ta, ngồi đếm nỗi cô liêu
Vẽ cánh chim rừng, một thời xứ lạc 
Cali ơi! xin gởi nồng ấm men chiều

Heartwarming Evening in Cali 

I draw, in the painting, a windy sky
I also draw the intoxication of love rising high
In loving strokes, the Human Compassion flower is depicted
And the smiling flowers blooming on people’s lips 

With meticulous care, I pen words in calligraphy about the friendship of poets 
Your ten fingers like flowers dancing over the notes of a music melody
We emptied the glasses of wine infused with the fragrance of true friendship
Although we met just once, it seems like a hundred years knowing thee 

I returned to the frost of the Northeast region
I miss Cali with its rays of sunshine golden
My luggage contained the memories of an enchanted evening
I wrapped it and sent to you with nostalgic longings 

I draw a beloved friend in the windy sky
I draw myself counting the loneliness of being
I draw a forest bird, once lost in a strange land
O Cali! The fragrance of an enchanted evening …
